Cosmetology Depatment: Nail Technician
The Nail Technician certificate is designed to train the student for an entry-level job in a high demand area of Cosmetology. It will also prepare the student for national testing in the area of nail technology. Students must complete all program requirements with a grade of “C” or better. Students also will need to take the COMPASS placement exam which has a cost of $15.00.
Students must successfully complete the following courses to earn the Certificate:
- CSMO 1000 Intro to Nail Technology
- CSMO 1005 Nail Technology Lab
- CSMO 1515 Clinical Applications IV
- CSMO 1550 General Cosmetology Science
- CSMO 1175 Nail Technician Assessment
The Cosmetology instructors at Eastern Wyoming College are dedicated to building a strong foundation of education and stay current with new techniques through continuing education.

Books and supplies required for the nail technician program are available through the Cosmetology Department and are approximately $450. These prices are subject to change.
