EWC Art Instructor Featured in Rocky Mountain Biennial
October 16, 2008
TORRINGTON, WY -
Eastern Wyoming College art instructor Daniel Fielder will have his art included in the 2008 Rocky Mountain Biennial at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art (FCMOCA) in Fort Collins, CO. The exhibition is open to the public October 3, 2008 - January 3, 2009.
The Rocky Mountain Biennial is a juried exhibition of works from the seven Rocky Mountain States. This is the ninth biennial exhibition organized by FCMOCA, and presents the scope of contemporary art created within a seven-state region. Originally organized as the Colorado/Wyoming Biennial, the expanded exhibition now fills the museum's two large galleries. This exhibition is open to artists residing in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
This is the first juried exhibition of this scale in which Fielder has participated. He has participated in several regionalized group shows. Fielder was selected from a group of 750 artists who submitted work to the curator for consideration.
"I am very excited about this show. It is a great opportunity to get people interested in art," added Fielder.
