April 9, 2008

The Eastern Wyoming College Foundation has announced that the 2008 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient is Charles H. Brown III from Wheatland, Wyoming.
Brown, a graduate of Torrington High School, earned an Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Wyoming College, formerly Goshen County Community College, in 1958. After his two years at EWC, he transferred to the University of Wyoming where he graduated in 1962 with a degree in Business. Shortly thereafter, Chuck and wife Kristi moved to Wheatland, and in 1968 he started the C.H. Brown Company. His company, which began as a retailer for agricultural equipment, farm supplies and vehicles, is now a nationally recognized firm in the equipment finance business. Not only is Chuck a successful businessman, he has also spent a good deal of his adult life involving himself in all types of public service for his community and state. Chuck was recently awarded the honor of being a UW College of Business Outstanding Alumni for 2007-2008.
