EWC Rodeo Team Finishes Fall Season

The EWC rodeo team finished their fall season in Cheyenne this past weekend with several cowboys and cowgirls finishing among the top in their respective events.
In the bareback riding, Ty Kenner of Wood Lake, NE placed first in the long-go, first in the short-go and first in the average. He also placed second in the long-go, and sixth in the average in the saddle bronc riding. "Ty had a great rodeo. He is a good athlete and should finish out the season well" Coach Jake Clark said.
In the bull riding, Jack Lieseth of Wall, SD finished second in the long-go and second in the average. Wylie Johnson of North Platte, NE placed sixth in the long-go.
In the team roping, Chris Cover of Ashby, NE and partner Quincy Opela of Stapleton, NE finished third in the long-go. Also placing in the team roping Josh Stauffer of Harrisburg, NE and partner Jake Anderson of Platteville, WI finished in the top ten of the long-go and made it back to the short-go and finished sixth in the average.
In the tie down roping Cody Sierks of Brewster, NE finished third in the long-go, sixth in the short-go and fifth in the average. Also placing in the tie down roping, Chris Cover finished sixth in the long-go.
For the women's team Megan Rankin of Alamo, NV placed in the top ten of the long-go, sixth in the short-go and sixth in the average of the breakaway roping.
In the goat tying, Mackenzie Johnston of Milburn, NE placed fourth in the long-go and finished tenth in the average.
Coach Clark added, "We had several athletes move up in the standings at this last fall rodeo. We will be looking forward to the spring rodeos starting up with our home rodeo March 28-30."
