March 2 , 2007
TORRINGTON, WY - The Eastern Wyoming College Art Department is proud to announce a Stephanie Wilde exhibit. This exhibit will be on display in the lobby of the EWC Fine Arts Auditorium March 4 - April 4.
This exhibit will feature the bodies of work titled Plague, Death’s Harvest, and AIDS Deems The Body Slim. She had dedicated 23 years to the investigation of the social impact caused by the AIDS epidemic. Wilde, an Idaho artist, has been featured in shows in Connecticut, Idaho, Montana, Utah, California, and England.
“My work is a commentary on the social, philosophical, and spiritual aspects of human nature. I am driven by the pleasure and meditation of repeating complex patterns as I create images on paper. Drawing from historical and symbolic motifs, I work to build an intricate tapestry of images pleasing to the eye,” commented Wilde about her work.
