Eastern Wyoming College Foundation Hosts Annual Golf Tournament

TORRINGTON, WY - Eastern Wyoming College Foundation hosted the 16th annual 4-person scramble golf tournament at the Torrington Golf Course on June 17th. A Calcutta and hamburger fry kicked off the event on Friday evening with over 100 attending. The tournament was on Saturday with 32 teams teeing off on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Jim Hacker, Dave Zimmerer, Ken Betschart and Jane Betschart made up the winning team.
Finishing in 2nd place was the team of Bill Schmidt, Ryan Schmidt, Sue Schmidt, and Jeanette Covello. Third place went to the team of Scott Anderson, Kyle Liggett, Harley Schleve and Billy Murphy. Finishing in 4th place was the team of Ron Brooks, Kris Brooks, Bonnie Childs and Eddie Fullmer, and 5th place went to the team of Tom Gardner, Toby Gardner, Kay Gardner, and Donna Charron.
Tournament Director, Joe Guth stated, "I was very pleased with the tournament. We had 32 teams golf. $3,600.00 was paid in prize monies to the top six place winners, in addition to the Calcutta pay out. The entire EWC Foundation thanks the many hole sponsors that help make our event a great fund raiser."
