EWC Bullriders continue to stay strong at UW rodeo

TORRINGTON, WY - EWC Lancer bullriders Kyle Lozier and Willie Grimm finished 3rd and 4th overall at the recent University of Wyoming college rodeo held this past weekend at Laramie.
Molli Pearman finished the weekend 4th overall in the goat tying. Teammate Chelsie Schaefer also finished 4th overall in the barrel racing.
Lancer team roper Taylor Hepp paired with Tyler Viles of UW placed second in the 1st go around.And, rounding out the team's success is Jayce Johnson. Johnson finished the weekend 4th overall in the tie-down roping.
The top three regional point earners in each event will qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper June 11-17. EWC rodeo Coach Jake Clark is pleased with his team's performance.
"Freshman, Jayce Johnson, is finishing strong. He is in a solid second place at this point and roping well. Our bullriders, Willie and Kyle, just keep impressing me more each week. They are currently 1st and 2nd in the regional standings. I look forward to seeing how it ends up."
The Lancer rodeo team will travel to Sheridan May 6-8 and to Riverton for the Central Wyoming College Rodeo May 12-14.
