Eastern Wyoming College Initiates Students into Phi Theta Kappa

TORRINGTON, WY - Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce that seventeen students were initiated into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society on February 27th, 2006. This initiation marks the biggest in EWC history. Students initiated into the Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter of PTK include: Billie Babcock (Hayden, CO), Cory Biggs (Laramie, WY), Jodi Bruce (Evanston, WY), James Courtney (Torrington), Sheila Cruth (Lingle, WY), Lauren Delgado (Torrington), Travis Dunivent (Cheyenne, WY), Jenna Eklund (Albin, WY), Pamela Ellis (Torrington), Mark Estes (Torrington), Chrisanna Foltz (Torrington), Kenda Foos (Torrington), Katie Fortner (Gillette, WY), Jake Johner (Torrington), Riley McKenna (Torrington), Zachary Olivarez (Gering, NE), and Kenneth Rayburn (Torrington). Master of Ceremonies was Jana Gibb who conducted the welcome and introduction. Keynote Speaker was Jared Pearce, EWC Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisor. Chapter advisors Jeff Bruening and Pearce looked on as officers Brandy Lay - President, Anna Hytrek - Vice-President, Lynnsey Gonzales - Secretary, and Jana Gibb - Student Senate Representative, participated in the induction ritual of the new members.
Phi Theta Kappa's mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs.
