Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo Team Has Success at Lamar Community College Rodeo

TORRINGTON, WY - The Eastern Wyoming College rodeo team recently traveled to Lamar, CO to compete in the Lamar Community College rodeo.

Taylor Hepp of Gillette, WY placed 3 rd in Calf Roping and 3 rd in the average. Jeff Herian of Alliance, NE won the first round of Team Roping. Derek Kenner of Woodlake, NE continues his streak, winning second in the first round and third in the average of the Saddle Bronc Riding.

The EWC bull riders are continuing to dominate as Willie Grimm of Harrison, NE won the first round with a 78 point ride and team mate Kyle Lozier of Williams Lake, BC, Canada won fourth in the final round and fourth in the average.

Megan Sims of Lander, WY placed 5 th in the first round of the Break-Away Roping and came back to win the final round and the average.

Jake Clark, EWC Rodeo Coach comments, "I am pleased with the first two rodeos. We have a good number of students who have accumulated points going into the final fall rodeo this weekend in Cheyenne."

The next rodeo is scheduled for October 14 th through the 16 th at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne, WY.
