John Nesbitt, Eastern Wyoming Instructor, Publishes Two Works
August 30, 2005
TORRINGTON, WY - Eastern Wyoming College English and
Spanish instructor John Nesbitt has recently published two works. These are
great additions to his already popular line up of novels and other works, now
totaling twenty.
The first new book is a sequel to Red Wind Crossing. The name of this book is Rancho Alegre which is a mystery western and the twelfth western that he has written. In this story, the character is a fun-loving guy that tells his own story about how he tries to find a long-lost son for an older man.
The second book is a collection of 15 individual short stories called Shadows on the Plain. Nesbitt used different characters in this book with a more serious tone. "Night Driver" is an example of one of the short stories. It's about a man whose life has been lived and another who seems to know everyone else's life stories. Other short stories include "Cowboy Heart", "County Plates", "Light from the Cave", "Nice Boots", and "Campers".
Publishers Weekly commented, "Nesbitt demonstrates himself a skilled wrangler of detail and character".
Nesbitt himself states, "Sometimes people wonder if a writer runs out of ideas, but that never happens".
