EWC Spends an Evening with Rudyard Kipling

(Torrington, WY) The April program in the EWC Library's, "Spend an Evening with" will feature Rudyard Kipling. The presentation will cover the Spice Trade, British Rule in India, Hindi influence on the English language, India's influence on food, and of course, Kipling and his works. A special highlight of the evening will be EWC Instructor Jan Lilletvedt's talk about her recent trip to India. Henna tattoos will be available for anyone who wants one; and there will be a sari for "try on"; the Library staff will also be in ethnic dress. Spices and vegetables that are used in Indian cooking will be featured. Refreshments will be Indian food and fruit and the evening will close with an informal round-table discussion. Come to the EWC Library April 21st at 6:30 p.m. for an entertaining and educational evening. Everyone is welcome, there is no admission fee.
