EWC Recently Held Business Advisory Council Meeting

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College recently held a Business Advisory Council Meeting on February 15th. The Business Advisory Council is a group that meets to discuss all the technical business programs at EWC and around the community. They discuss the latest changes in the workplace and the work skills that students will need to have prior to getting a job. This helps EWC to better the technology offered at the college including software upgrades and work skills that need to be taught.

The Business Advisory Council members are Dee Ludwig, Melissa Meeboer, Karen Poster, Eugene Porter, Maureen Reichert, Rick Vonburg, Nancy Blevins, Gary Lambert, Darla Busboom, Kathleen Humphrey, Janet Martindale, Kristi McGuire, Mary Perkins, Trenda Weisshaar, Karen Kautz, Brandi Lira, Kari Marlatt, and Rod Miller.

At the meeting they discussed self-directed classes offered at EWC, software service packages that are available from Software 1 that enables colleges to keep up with software updates, and the impact of The No Child Left Behind program on the ABE/GED program.
