Community Volunteering for EWC Major Gifts Campaign
July 29, 2004
(Torrington, WY) "The many community members who have volunteered to assist us with EWC's first ever fundraising campaign reminds us of the great place in which we live," says EWC president Jack Bottenfield. "With the establishment of the latest two gift divisions, over 80 volunteers from the community are working to help raise money to make EWC and Goshen County stronger." Campaign Chairman Todd Peterson has enlisted Richard and Carie Campbell to be co-chairs of the major gifts division, with Bum Baumgardner, Casey Essert, Jamie Madden, and Beth Korell serving as vice chairs. Team members recruited for the major gifts division are Sally Guth, Dick and Alice Bullack, Wayne and Sally Vanderpoel, Brent Kaufman, Dick Vandel, and Ezdan and Lisa Fluckiger. Vice chairs enlisted for the advanced gifts division are Mary Lou Atkins, Gary Childs, Joe Guth, Bill Pickerel, and Sam Wagner.
By the time the campaign winds down in late fall, over 100 community volunteers will have been recruited to participate in this worthwhile program to expand educational opportunities in the Welding and in the Veterinary Technology programs and to expand and improve EWC student housing. This fundraising effort will make EWC an even more vital contributor to the economy of Torrington and Goshen County.
