EWC Foundation Hosts Annual Golf Tournament

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College Foundation hosted the 14th annual 4-person scramble golf tournament at the Cottonwood Golf Course on June 19th. A calcutta and hamburger fry kicked off the event on Friday evening with a great turnout of over 100 attending. The tournament was on Saturday with twenty-three teams braving the chilly, windy conditions.

Winning team membersEd Fullmer, Duffy Sheller, Vern Filbert, and Sam Allen were the winning team.

Finishing in 2nd place was the team of Bill Schmidt, Ryan Schmidt, Sue Schmidt, and Sharon Jones. Third place went to the team of Scott Prusia, Michelle Prusia, Terri Luttrell, and Greg Hoppal. Finishing in 4th place was the team of Billy Bates, Amy Bates, Shad Bates, and Kevin Officer, and 5th place went to the team of Andy Espinoza, Kevin Mooney, Jim Maffe, and Kip Buller.

Tournament Director, Joe Guth stated, "I was very pleased with the tournament. We had 23 teams golf, despite inclement weather, and our calcutta was better than has been in the past several years. Over $2,200 was paid in prize monies to the top five place winners, in addition to the calcutta pay out."
