EWC Golfer Wins Torrington Tournament

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College Golfer Ryan Schmidt placed first at the Torrington, WY tournament on April 16-17. He scored a total of 145 strokes. EWC competed against five other colleges which were Lamar, Otero, Johnson & Wales, NCTA Curtis, and McCook. The two day total for EWC was 605, which was five strokes off of first place behind Otero. Individually, Matt Bennett and Brad Morrison tied for tenth place with strokes of 152.
Mike Dawkins, EWC golf coach stated, "I am glad to see the guys starting to shine. They have
all the ability necessary and are working very hard. People don't realize how hard it is to put the
hours in for grades in school and try to keep up with the golf. I expect good things at the regional
tournament on the 25th - 27th of April in Garden City, KS."
