EWC Initiates Ten Students into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce that ten students were initiated into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society at noon on March 9, 2004, in the Dolores Kaufman Board Room. Students initiated into the Alpha Omicron Lambda Chapter of PTK include: Valerie Armstrong, Brule, NE; Jamie Foltz, Torrington, WY; Chiwah Lam, Torrington, WY; Brock Merrill, Newcastle, WY; Emily Moore, Torrington, WY; Vanessa Patten, Sterling, CO; Aharon Robertson, Pine Bluffs, WY; Kristeen Vines, Wheatland, WY; and Katie Winget, Lingle, WY. Jeff Marsh gave the keynote speech.
Phi Theta Kappa's mission is to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs. To be eligible for membership, a student must complete a minimum of twelve hours of Associate Degree course work, earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, and be a full-time student.
