EWC Presents Spend an Evening in Shakespeare's Time
February 25, 2004
(Torrington, WY) Take a step back in history by attending the "Spend an Evening in Shakespeare's Time" program presented at the Eastern Wyoming College Library by the EWC librarians on March 4, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. Find out what it was like to live in Shakespeare's world. Topics to be presented and discussed will be clothing, food, health care, social mores, jobs, music, and events that shaped the lives of people of the era as well as Shakespeare and his works. Everyone is welcome to attend and to participate in the discussion. The program is more appropriate for ages 12 and up and is free to the public.
The library staff will be attired in period dress; several local members of the Society for Creative Anachronism will also add a touch of realism to the evening with displays, period clothing, crafts and music. Refreshments for the evening will be foods appropriate to the time.
This is the first in a series of programs that the EWC Library will be presenting. The next one in April will be "Spend an Evening With Beatrix Potter, the Naturalist," and more are being planned for the 2004-2005 school year. If you have questions or need further information, call the EWC Library at 532.8210.
