October 29, 2003
(Torrington, WY) Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce there was a 28.5% increase in the enrollment of total students and an actual increase of 17.67 FTE's (Full Time Enrollment) for the 2003 summer courses. According to a report from the Institutional Research Office at EWC, the number of full-time students increased by 4 students, and the number of part-time students increased by 64 students compared to Summer 2002. Including audited hours, there was a total of 778.50 hours taken by all students.
EWC President, Jack Bottenfield said, "I am very pleased with EWC's 2003 summer enrollment and that the FTE's were higher than they have been in eight years. Summer school provides an excellent opportunity for students to take college classes while still leaving much of the summer available for work, travel, and other activities."
