EWC Hosts Visit from Scotchman Industries
October 24, 2003
(Torrington, WY) Leland Vetter, Welding Instructor at Eastern Wyoming College, invited students and area business people to the college on October 16, 2003 to see the technology available from Scotchman Industries. Gerald Rhode, the manufacturer's representative, was on hand to demonstrate equipment and answer questions. Scotchman, Industries, Inc. is based in Philip, SD and manufactures metal working machines that form, bend, saw and drill holes in steel.
Scotchman was the supplier of a piece of equipment purchased twenty-four years ago and EWC is looking to upgrade some equipment which is why Vetter invited the company to campus. Vetter stated, "The equipment we bought is worth more today than the day we bought it. How many things can you say that about? We are just looking to update the existing equipment."
