EWC Rodeo Results from Sheridan College Rodeo

(Torrington, WY) The Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo team traveled to Buffalo, WY to compete in the Sheridan College Rodeo on October 10-12. According to Coach Jake Clark, " Several members of the men's team keep gathering points." Jacob Rinehart, of Highmore, SD, placed fourth in calf roping and is in the top ten in steer wrestling. Greg Weber, of Martin, SD, had a second place finish in the first round in steer wrestling. Ty Walker, of Arthur, NE, finished in fourth place in saddle bronc riding. In team roping, Rory Wendt of Newell, SD and Kyle Chrisman of Big Piney, WY, had a third place finish in the first round.

For the EWC women, Tyffani Hansen, of Hawk Springs, WY, had a second place finish in the first round of barrel racing. Jamie Tafoya, of Jackson, WY, was fourth in average and Ronnie Macdonell, of Carbondale, CO, placed second in round two and was third in the average in barrel racing. Megan Sims, of Riverton, WY, is in the top ten in breakaway roping. Clark stated, "The women's team had another good rodeo. Three members got points in barrel racing, which is a very competitive event. I'm looking forward to a great showing at LCCC Rodeo this weekend."
