EWC Has Lowest Loan Default Rate of Wyoming Community Colleges

(Torrington, WY) For the second year in a row, with a default rate of 3.4 percent for the fiscal year 2001, Eastern Wyoming College had the lowest loan default rate of all the community colleges in Wyoming. Financial Aid Director, Pamela Palermo, gives the credit to the students. "We work hard to communicate to our students the importance of responsible borrowing and repaying of loans. We, also, stress to the students that if they need assistance or are having problems paying their loans, to contact us so we can get them help. We will work hard with students to help keep loan defaults down."
