EWC Major Gifts Campaign Names Lovercheck as Leadership Chair

(Torrington, WY) Sherri Lovercheck, Eastern Wyoming College trustee, will serve as chair of the Leadership Awareness Program for the major gifts campaign underway on behalf of the College. "We are pleased that Sherri has
accepted this most important assignment," College President, Jack Bottenfield said. "She is an outstanding board member, and I know her leadership will contribute to our success."
The purpose of the Leadership Awareness Committee is to acquaint and increase the interest of approximately 100 community leaders and citizens with EWC's case for support, and to obtain their advice and counsel. "Community and business leaders will be invited to attend a one-hour session which will consist of a presentation regarding the purpose and goals of the college's campaign, followed by questions and answers," Lovercheck said. "I am pleased to be associated with EWC, and to serve as the chair of the Leadership program."
Several area families have volunteered to act as hosts and hostesses to assist Lovercheck with the Leadership Awareness Sessions. Included are Mrs. Mary Lou Atkins, Dr. & Mrs. Ken Banister, Dr. & Mrs. Richard Campbell, Marilyn Fisher, Dr. & Mrs. Ezdan Fluckiger, Mr. & Mrs. Neal Kelly, Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Korell, Mr. Jim Davis & Ms. Kaye Lively, Mr. & Mrs. Ron Lovercheck, Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Marsh, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Maxfield, Mr. & Mrs. Tom McCreery, Mr. Mike Patterson, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Pickerel, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Rueb, Mr. & Mrs. Carl Rupp, Mr. & Mrs. Guido Smith, Mr. & Mrs. John Steen, Mr. & Mrs. Leland Vetter, and Mr. & Mrs. Sam Wagner.
The major gifts campaign began in January 2003, and will continue through July of 2004. The Leadership Awareness Committee is one of the six service committees, which support the seven soliciting divisions being organized. It is expected that EWC will involve over 100 community leaders before the campaign is completed.
