EWC Instructor Will Participate in Writing Workshop

(Torrington, WY) John Nesbitt, English and Spanish Instructor at Eastern Wyoming College, will be a featured faculty for the third straight year at "Writing the West" Workshop in Gunnison, Colorado, on July 10-14, 2003. Fiction Writing: The Western Novel will be the focus of Nesbitt's topic as he discusses plot, characterization, setting, structure, dialogue, voice and point of view and addresses questions from participants. He has published articles, textbooks and course manuals; some of his westerns include Coyote Trail, North of Cheyenne, Man From Wolf River, and Black Hat Butte.
This is the third year Western State College has co-sponsored "Writing the West" Workshop along with Western Writers of America, which is celebrating fifty years of promoting and honoring Western literature. The event includes a high country trail ride, Cattleman's Days Rodeo, chuckwagon cook-off, centennial ranch tour, and a western music concert.
