Academically, Marsh qualified for the President's Honor Roll and the Dean's Honor Roll.

Marsh is also very involved in the community and serves on numerous boards and civic organizations. He was recently appointed by Governor Dave Freudenthal to serve on the State Board of Education and the Schools Facilities Commission.

"I am truly humbled by this honor and extremely flattered," responded Marsh to
receiving the award. EWC Foundation President Kate Kelly was very pleased to have Marsh receive the award. "Jeff is an outstanding young man that grew up in our county, and I have seen him work very hard as a lifeguard, a referee, a counselor, and as a business man. He has always been involved and of service to the people of this area. I am very proud to see him receive the 2003 Distinguished Alumni award."
