EWC Presents Book Signing

February 7, 2003

(Torrington, WY) On Thursday, February 20 at 4:30 p.m. in the EWC Student Center, John Nesbitt will be signing copies of Black Hat Butte, his newest book. This is the ninth traditional western fiction book he has published. Black Hat Butte takes place in an area between Manville and Hartville and focuses on the freedom of the human spirit.  The book is now available at on-line bookstores and should be available locally within the next couple of weeks.

Nesbitt has been an English and Spanish instructor at the college for over twenty years. He has published textbooks, short stories and other projects. His future projects include plans to develop a series of Western mysteries. This will be something new for Nesbitt, as he has always started each book with a set a new characters. "Now, if I don't cover all I would like, then the character could pick that up in the next book." stated Nesbitt.

Nesbitt has also been selected as a faculty presenter at "Writing the West," an intensive western writers conference to be held in Gunnison, Colorado, in July. This is the third year he has been part of the program. " Writing Western and Historical Fiction" is the title of his program.
